TDC Planning Committee 5th April

by Martin Wrigley on 2 April, 2016

With over 500 signatures on Cllr Alison Foden’s petition, and complaints being sent in from all quarters I do hope that the TDC councillors on the planning committee will listen to the plight of Dawlish.

I fear that we will not see enough of them brave enough to stand up an be counted.

I will be there to speak and to see who else speaks up for Dawlish… (I wonder if we will get a recorded vote?)

There is no good reason why they shouldnt impose a mandatory on-site construction track from the Sainsbury’s roundabout:

  • DCC have said they will pay for the bridge,
  • The land is due to be set for the use of the link road anyhow,
  • The entrances are already mandated,
  • All it will take is agreement and putting down the aggregate base – now where near the £6Million for a public standard road.
  • And it provides a logical route for the sewers to follow.

If they dont amend the planning conditions, we will continue to campaign for it!

Safety before Profit.

Dawlish Deserves Better!
