In Dawlish Town Council on November 4th we discussed the Brown Brook allotments.

Personally I think we need more allotments in Dawlish, and yes we have some in the planned development area, but we need more. The waiting list shows there is a demand.
But the more we have the more work it can be to manage them if we approach it in a traditional way.

The answer has to lie in working with the allotmants association for help and advice on areas such as day to day maintenance and seeing which plots are vacant or abandoned.  I look forward to setting up a better dialog with the allotmant holders and the association to see what we can work out…
